Terms and Conditions
Payment
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express for online orders.
- We accept Debit, Cash, Visa, Mastercard, and e-Transfer for in-store orders.
- Full payment is necessary for online orders.
- For wedding cakes, we require that 30% of the cost is due the day the order was placed and the remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the required date. In online orders, full payment is required during the order placement.
Cakes
- Please note that reference pictures are general illustrations and we cannot duplicate a cake from the reference entirely. We can do a similar design with a few changes.
- The prices of our cakes are based on flavours and sizes in addition to the degree of difficulty.
- All of our cakes are nut-free, including peanut-free and tree-nut-free. Our cakes are made in a nut-free facility.
- All of our cakes are lactose-free, except the Red Velvet Cream Cheese.
- We provide the option for eggless cakes.
- We do special vegan cakes with a few flavours.
- As our facility is nut-free, we do not accept any orders that require nuts.
- French Marble, Red Velvet or any other specialty flavour require a one-week notice. Last-minute orders of these flavours may not be available. We will contact you if a change needs to be made in the flavours of your cake.
- Sizes larger than 10 inches x 10 inches require a one-week notice. Last-minute orders of these sizes may not be available.
- We use edible food colours. A few colours, such as black and red, may have a bitter taste, thus, we recommend removing the coloured icing before serving the cake.
- Color variation is inevitable. We cannot provide an exact colour match guarantee, but we can provide a nearby colour.
Cake Storage and Shelf Life
- All whipping cream cakes should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 1°C to 4°C. Fondant cakes may be stored in the refrigerator but should be covered properly to ensure that moisture does not build up.
- If cared for properly (refrigerated & covered), our cakes can stay fresh for up to three weeks.
Edible Images/ Photo Cakes
- Edible images can be put on almost any cake. The cost of the image is extra.
- We use edible inks and edible special rice papers, thus colours may be different from your picture.
- We can print any photograph or image. Whenever an image is printed the quality deteriorates, so please provide us with the best quality and high-resolution pictures.
- Color variation is inevitable. The colour of the picture may vary.
Orders
- We accept last-minute orders for all cakes including wedding cakes if we are able to do so depending on the time and resources. Please place your order on time to avoid any issues.
- Please check your order thoroughly before payment. Our decorators can only create the finished product from what is presented to them from your order. It is not possible to create exact replicas when modelling food.
- If an inscription or any other choice is left unselected on your order, we reserve the right to use our own discretion.
- If we are unable to process your order for whatever reason, you will receive a full refund.
- If a cancellation is made in less than 7 days, you will need to pay the full amount for the cake.
- If any issues arise, we may change the pickup location and timing. You will be contacted if changes are to be made.
- Credit card information and identification may be required during pickup.
- Return Policy and Cancelation: all cakes are custom-made, therefore no cakes can be fully refunded, except for orders cancelled a week before pickup/delivery date. After the order is placed and you wish to cancel, you can only get a refund of 70% of your deposit or you can transfer the fund to another cake order. Alternatively, we will provide the full amount of credit and can use it for future orders. The amount will be valid for one year.
- A security deposit is required for all parts of your cake display. This includes all cake stands, angels, pillars, columns, plastic plates, bridesmaids, ushers and water fountains. We will contact you for a security deposit. The deposit may vary in value due to the complexity and design. The security deposit in the form of a post-dated Visa or Mastercard must be completed two weeks before your function. All parts must be returned to Irresistible Cakes' Woodbridge location by one week after they are used. We will preauthorize the security amount on the week of the day of the event.
- After placing the order online, we may contact the customer for a discussion.
Complaints
- Corrections and repairs to cakes, including inscription mistakes, can be corrected on the day of the event in most cases. You must bring the cake to our Woodbridge showroom for repairs or changes. You are required to give us this opportunity and must let us know of the problem within one hour of accepting your cake.
- If you pick up the cake in a different location, you are responsible for bringing the cake to our Woodbridge location within operating hours for any corrections or repairs.
- Complaints are very rare, so we take them extremely seriously. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate resolution may not always be possible.
- Due to high humidity, sometimes the fondant cake surface becomes glossy and looks like melting. Bubbling is another issue with fondant cake due to internal gas formation, we recommend removing gases by a pin and smoothening the surface. These are natural phenomena and we are unable to accept any complaint.
Acceptance
- By placing an order with Irresistible Cakes, either through our website, over the telephone, etc., you are agreeing to these terms.
Delivery
- For large cakes and wedding cakes, Irresistible Cakes require 5 hours window for all deliveries (for example 12 PM to 5 PM). We cannot guarantee a specific time as issues such as weather and traffic may cause delays.
- For small cakes and 2-tier cakes, we cannot specify the exact time of the delivery. We provide delivery from Tuesday to Saturday anytime from 11 AM to 6 PM. No deliveries are provided on Sundays, Mondays, or holidays.
- For orders that are under $350 and are within the GTA, third parties are responsible for delivering the order and we offer competitive delivery charges. We do not have control over these third-party delivery services. Irresistible Cakes is not responsible for any issues with the delivery and any damage to your products. We always suggest selecting the pickup option. If the receiver is not available to collect the cake, the driver may dispose of the cake and Irresistible Cakes will not refund you because of the delivery issues.
No Unlawful or Prohibited Use / Monitoring of Website
- By using and accessing this website, www.icakes.ca, you agree that you will not use the site for any unlawful purposes or engage in any use prohibited by this agreement. You further agree that you will not use the website in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any server, the network(s) connected to any Seamless server, or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the sites. You may not attempt, through any means, to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Sites or any service, other accounts, computer system, or network connected to any server.
Transaction Currency
- All transactions are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Service Charges and Applicable Charges
- We charge 13% of your order and delivery for service charges/applicable taxes.
Your Status
- By placing an order through our website, you warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and you are at least 18 years old.
Payment Platform
- Your online payment is done via the safe and secure Moneris platform. Irresistible Cakes never keeps or views your credit card information.
Terms and Conditions for Orders in Person or by Phone
- A minimum of a 30% deposit is required upon booking your order. The final balance is due a minimum of TWO (2) WEEKS PRIOR to the event date in a POST-DATED Visa, Mastercard, or post-dated cheque accompanied. We also accept e-Transfer- send the money to info@icakes.ca to auto-deposit the money. After the e-Transfer, please send us an email with your order details.
- For regular cakes, extra charges may apply for pickup at locations other than Woodbridge.
- Return Policy and Cancelation: all cakes are custom-made, therefore no cakes can be fully refunded, except for orders cancelled a week before pickup/delivery date. After the order is placed and you wish to cancel, you can only get a refund of 70% of your deposit or you can transfer the fund to another cake order. Alternatively, we will provide the full amount of credit and can use it for future orders. The amount will be valid for one year.

- Minor changes to cakes will only be accepted in person or through written notifications no later than two (2) weeks prior to the pickup/delivery date. Absolutely no changes will be accepted within two weeks of the event.

- All deposits are non-refundable with the exception of security deposits where parts must be returned within two weeks of the function.
- In the event of a cancellation, Irresistible Cakes will provide 70% of the deposit. Equal value coupons will not be issued if the contract is NOT cancelled at least one (1) month prior to the event date.
- Irresistible Cakes has the right to refuse orders based on any of the above conditions.
Pickup Locations
- We have many pickup locations all over the Greater Toronto Area. Other than the main location, 4040 Steeles Ave. West, Irresistible Cakes does not own these businesses.
- You can choose different locations during the order placement. If we change your pickup location, we will inform you in advance. Irresistible Cakes reserves the right to change your pickup location if necessary.
- In most of the pickup locations, we also sell readymade cakes.
Caution
- We may use some non-edible hard and sharp items, such as wood materials, including dowels, toothpicks, and wires, as well as plastic materials, including plastic dowels for decoration and reinforcing purposes.
Driving and Storage Instruction
- Delicate product, please handle very carefully.
- Carry in trunk or place on a flat surface over an antistick mat (if possible).
- Drive carefully- no hard brakes, no sudden turns.
- Always keep the cake refrigerated at 1-4ºC.

- By providing your wireless phone number and email id to our company, you agree and acknowledge that Irresistible Cakes may send me text messages and emails to my wireless phone number and email id respectively for any purpose, including marketing purposes.
